He graduated from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. In May of 2018, he graduated from Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union. He received a Master of Divinity Degree and is currently a second-year doctoral student at the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Since his youth, he has been a member of St. John Baptist Church and has served his church as a mentor, deacon, and now as an associate minister. He also serves his community by spreading the liberating gospel at the local detention center, jail ministry, and wherever he has the opportunity to teach and preach. With today’s issues pressing the youth and young adults, Rev. Carlon’s passion lies at the intersection of faith and education, encouraging them and the community of faith to be agents of transformational change.

His passion is to lead them to the Word of God, allowing them to realize for themselves that they are God’s children and heirs with Jesus Christ despite what society may tell them. The ultimate goal is that they will allow themselves to be led and directed by the Holy Spirit. Carlon is married to the former Tamecha Stacks, and together they have two beautiful daughters, Casey and Chrissy.
